Preamble
Our licensing system is defined by the terms of use for our typefaces. When placing an order for graphic design, it is the client’s responsibility to purchase this license, not that of the graphic designer or the agency hired to do the work. If a designer uses our typefaces for multiple clients, each of those clients must have their own license.
Our pricing system is based on the number of people in the company for which a typeface is used in communications. We believe that the larger the size and scope of a company (including its subsidiaries and branches), the greater the commercial value derived from a typeface. We believe that individuals and small organisations should not have to pay the same price for typefaces as large companies. In other words, companies should pay based on their revenue potential. A 50% discount is offered to nonprofit organisations working to promote social justice. The license is free for students, exclusively for use in their academic projects.
You may share the fonts with any contractor working on a project covered by your license. They may not use the fonts for any other purpose.
The license is purchased by a client for a specific use, not by a graphic designer.
Nature of the contrat
This license is a legal agreement between Nuisibles Type Foundry and the purchaser, hereinafter referred to as the licensee of one or more typefaces distributed on www.nuisibles.tf.
This contract is:
Perpetual: All of our font licenses are valid indefinitely. License fees are one-time payments; there are no subscription fees.
Non-exclusive: Nuisibles Type Foundry retains ownership of all rights related to the downloaded fonts.
Non-transferable: This contract does not authorize the resale or transfer—even free of charge, in whole or in part, or on a temporary basis—of the downloaded font. The license holder agrees not to distribute the downloaded font files in any manner whatsoever.
Non-cancelable: The purchaser may not request a refund on the grounds that they will no longer use the font.
The nature of the license is determined based on the intended and/or planned use of the typeface. The license holder certifies the accuracy of the information provided at the time of purchase. If this information changes, the license holder agrees to contact Nuisibles Type Foundry at contact@nuisibles.tf to update their license.
The fonts distributed by Nuisibles Type Foundry may not be used for the purposes listed in the “Prohibited Uses” section of this agreement. In addition, certain uses may be subject to prior authorisation (see the “Unlisted Uses” subsection).
Any transfer—whether temporary or permanent—or sharing of a font is strictly prohibited. The licensee agrees not to distribute the files provided to them in any form whatsoever.
The licensee agrees to protect the files provided from being copied. The licensee agrees to inform all employees and anyone with access to the files provided of the terms of this license.
In the event of a breach of this agreement, it will be immediately terminated.
This license is perpetual (please contact us if your circumstances change), non-transferable, and subjects the font to the restrictions listed here.
When you install a font distributed by Nuisibles Type Foundry, you automatically accept the terms of this license.
License coverage
The license allows all members of the company to use the font. External designers and studios are authorized to use the fonts on behalf of the license holder, provided that they are counted as part of the number of people comprising the license holder’s company.
The designer or studio, and any subcontractors, must be included in the headcount of the company at the time of license purchase.
Copyright
The license holder acknowledges that the font is a creative work and is therefore protected by applicable Belgian copyright and intellectual property laws, regardless of the country in which the font is used.
Our fonts are protected by copyright.
Ownership
This agreement is entered into between Nuisibles Type Foundry and the distributor of materials that use the typefaces. A new license agreement must be entered into for each new distribution.
Example: If you are a graphic designer and purchase a font license to create marketing materials for a company, the license belongs to that company. You do not have the right to use the font for another client.
Each new context in which the font is used requires a new license.

Software Integration
Nuisibles Type Foundry grants the licensee the right to integrate the font into an unlimited number of software programs, such as applications, video games, or e-books (all referred to as “the application” hereinafter). The licensee is authorized to distribute the font as a file embedded in the application and to distribute copies of the application with the font embedded.
The embedding technology must prevent the end user of the application from directly accessing the embedded font in order to prevent it from being downloaded for use outside of the application. The embedded font must be protected by all means against installation on the end user’s operating system.
It is your responsibility to protect the fonts from being downloaded or made publicly accessible.
Prohibitions
You are not permitted to use the fonts distributed by Nuisibles Type Foundry to:
Create NFTs.
Train AI.
Formatting text that violates Belgian law (discriminatory content that is racist, anti-Semitic, Islamophobic, sexist, LGBTQ-phobic, ableist, etc.).
Communications for the prison system, the judiciary, the military, or the police.
Communications for pharmaceutical companies.
In the context of the production, sale, and/or purchase of weapons.
Handle communications for a company that has been convicted of greenhouse gas emissions, soil, water, or air pollution, or that has been involved in health and/or environmental scandals.
Formatting text within a work involving individuals accused of gender-based and sexual violence.
You are not permitted to
Convert the font(s) into other formats.
Upload the fonts to public servers or public repositories.
Modify (see the “Modifications” section), reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the fonts.
Create new fonts based on the design of the fonts under this license.
Credits
When the typeface is used on a website, in a film, book, magazine, video game, or any other document, it is necessary to credit the designer(s) of the font and to include a link to www.nuisibles.tf, thereby providing context for the work.
The licensee agrees to make every effort to credit the font name and the designer(s) as shown in the following example: “Font: Eryn by Pauline Sesniac.”
As a graphic design studio or agency, publishing a project that includes the typeface requires you to credit the typeface and its authors and tag Nuisibles Type Foundry using the names specified here: @nuisibles.tf on Instagram, @nuisibles_tf@typo.social on Mastodon.
Please credit us when you have a dedicated credit section.
Disclaimer
Nuisibles Type Foundry does not guarantee that the features contained in the font will meet the licensee’s requirements or that the software will operate uninterrupted or error-free. Nuisibles Type Foundry is not liable for any direct, indirect, consequential, or incidental damages (including damages resulting from loss of business profits, business interruption, loss of business information, reasonable attorneys’ fees and other costs) resulting from the use or inability to use the font, even if Nuisibles Type Foundry has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
We are not liable for any damages arising from the use of our fonts.

If you wish to modify a font distributed by Nuisibles Type Foundry, please contact us at contact@nuisibles.tf.
Fonts distributed by Nuisibles Type Foundry may not be modified or redistributed without written permission from Nuisibles Type Foundry.

Nonprofit organisations advocating for social causes
50% discount for use in the communications of a nonprofit organisation advocating for social, environmental, decolonial, or similar causes.
