Bouillon
Bouillon is a stencil typeface designed by Mariel Nils (NTF) and Océane Juvin originally for the signage of the Les Résistantes 2025 festival, a meeting of Global and Local Struggles, co-organised by Terres de Luttes, Collectif 924 and volunteers from Normandy and elsewhere. This typeface was developed to facilitate the creation of signage painted on site, in a flexible and collective manner using stencils. Its design seeks to incorporate the stencil as a means of creating a typographic system, generating swirls and joyful movements. Although the typeface was ultimately not selected for this edition, its creators continue to develop it for other uses. The typeface was put into practice during the feminist demonstration on 8 March 2026 in Brussels by Océane and Mariel, together with members of Impression Forte. On this occasion, the letters were painted, sewn and cut out to create large banners and costumes.
